Energy Improvement Programme (EIP)
- If you qualify, you will go through an energy audit conducted by student volunteers to determine your current household energy consumption profile.
- Following the audit, these student volunteers will then propose to you energy saving measures that you may adopt for your home.
- To help you save energy even further, these student volunteers are given S$200 per household to help you implement the proposed measures progressively.
- For the next three to four months, they will help to track your home energy usage and work hand-in-hand with you to ensure that the proposed energy saving measures have been adopted on a daily or regular basis.

Energy Savings Calculation
- The baseline (the average energy consumption (in Kwh) over the 3-month period of March 2012 to May 2012) will be taken from the June SP Services Utilities Bill. This will be compared against the average energy consumption over the three-month competition period of July 2012 to September 2012 (taken from the October SP Services utilities bill) to work out the energy savings in percentage terms.
- The top three households with the greatest energy savings (in percentage terms) during the three-month competition period will win.
